Subcellular Location: Nucleus, nucleoplasm . Nucleus, nucleolus . Interaction with MDFIC sequesters it into the nucleolus, preventing the transcription factor activity. Phosphorylation by PLK4 disrupts the interaction with MDFIC and releases it from the nucleolus, leading to transcription factor activity (By similarity). .
